As a trusted family breeder, we understand how important this decision is for you. That’s why we’re committed to keeping you informed every step of the way as you search for your future puppy.

 

When one of our breeding females has a confirmed pregnancy, we provide regular updates and communications so you can follow along on the journey, from the early stages of pregnancy until the puppies are ready to join their new homes. You'll receive timely announcements, photos, and milestone updates to help you feel connected, informed, and confident throughout the process.

Confirmed Pregnancy Announcement: 

Once a pregnancy is confirmed, our website will be updated with the exciting news and the puppies' anticipated due date. If you've subscribed to our updates or submitted an application, you’ll also receive an email notification so you won’t miss a thing. We’re here to make this journey as transparent and joyful as possible as you prepare to welcome your new puppy home.

Pregnancy Progress:

We’ll share regular updates on the mother’s pregnancy through our website so you can follow along with the journey. In the rare event that unforeseen complications affect the mother or the litter, we will contact you directly. You’ll be given the option of a full refund or the opportunity to transfer your deposit to a future litter. Your trust means everything to us, and we are committed to keeping you informed with honesty and care.

Birth Announcement:

When the puppies arrive, we’ll share the exciting news on our website and social media—complete with photos from their birth day. From there, you can look forward to weekly updates with pictures to watch the puppies grow and develop each step of the way. It’s our way of helping you feel connected to your future puppy right from the start.

Puppy Selection:

When our puppies reach approximately four weeks of age, we will begin contacting families in the order deposits were received (“Pick Order”) to schedule a meet-and-greet to choose your puppy. This can be done either in person or virtually, based on what works best for you.


After the puppies have been examined and cleared by our veterinarian, typically between six and seven weeks old, we will move forward with the official puppy selection process in the established Pick Order. Missing your scheduled time without prior notice may result in forfeiting your place in the Pick Order.

Note: As the breeder, we reserve the right to retain first pick(s) from the litter if needed.

Puppies Going Home:

At 8 weeks old, your puppy will be ready—and excited—to head to their forever home!
Pickups will occur at Robertson’s Retrievers & Doodles, or you can arrange for your puppy to travel to you. Please refer to our FAQs for more details about travel options.


You’ll be scheduled for a pickup time, during which we’ll answer any last-minute questions and provide you with a helpful go-home goodie bag.
Please Note: If your puppy is not picked up by 9 weeks of age, a daily training/boarding fee may be applied. Any applicable charges will be communicated in advance.
